Finding Nemo Under the Sea

You may spot Nemo, the little clownfish, swimming among the sea anemones. You can’t touch them, but you can quietly watch and enjoy their beauty in their natural home.

Our snorkeling guides are local fishermen with proper qualifications and deep knowledge of the sea. By joining this snorkeling experience, you are supporting our local guides, helping sustain their livelihoods and enabling them to provide for their families while sharing their ocean with visitors.
You can find beautiful reefs and blue corals in waters less than 10 meters deep, making it perfect for snorkeling and easy exploration.
This boat is called a “pong pong” because the engine makes a rhythmic “pong pong pong” sound as it moves across the water.

What did visitors say about the island?

Thank you, we enjoyed our time in Batam island

Dora is a highly skilled and energetic guide who found attractions that we would not have had any chance to see on our own without her well-established and trusted connections and network with the local community.

We specifically wished to gain a glimpse of everyday life behind the façade, and Dora truly listened to this request, demonstrating a strong ability to vividly explain the background and stories of the places we visited.

Everything felt safe and well-organized, and she showed an excellent ability to navigate traffic with a large and reliable vehicle.

We warmly recommend her as a guide.

What did they say about the island?

“When we went on a snorkeling trip, we had a truly memorable and rustic experience meeting the local Malay community on Nguan Island, near our homestay. We also visited a mangrove village, where the guide explained how mangrove trees protect the coastline. We were fascinated to learn how their strong roots reduce waves, prevent erosion, and help protect the area from natural disasters like tsunamis.” -Mr.Ma-
“We had a tour with Dora. It was only two of us went for a day trip. We visited a Batam brick factory, where local families make bricks by hand using traditional methods, earning their living from this craft”. -Anita&Monica-
“I didn’t expect Batam to have so much to see,” I said. “Even though it’s a small island and home to many multinational companies, there are still cultural villages, mangroves, and traditional crafts to explore.” It really surprised me how much life and culture this island has to offer”. -Linda-
“I just wanted a short snorkeling trip to escape my busy routine,” I said, traveling from Singapore to Batam. I didn’t expect to discover the island’s original communities, living in traditional stilt houses by the sea. Seeing their simple way of life made the trip feel even more special and meaningful”. – Albert-
